LCC - A Family-Integrated Church

 Founded in April 2004, Legacy Community Church is a
family-integrated church
located in Greensboro, NC.
As a Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, each week we
meet to be equipped for ministry through expository preaching,
teaching, and prayer. We pragmatically facilitate this through our
families by holding the father accountable and equipping him
to teach his family the principles that are given on a
weekly basis.

L - Leaders In Our Home
We strive to fulfill the scriptural mandate for the fathers to be the provider, protector and spiritual leader in our home. We are committed to loving our wives as Christ loved the church. Deuteronomy 6, Ephesians 5 & 6. E - Evangelically Minded Evangelism is definitely part of our calling. We feel like our first mission field is the home. A close second is our family members outside of the immediate family. As relatives see our lifestyle and see how our children are different (their discipline and respect, etc.), it is testimony to a life-changing event. Our families make a wonderful evangelism tool. Then we teach all our people, and our teens especially, to look for opportunities to share Christ. Matthew 5:16, 1 Timothy 6:17, John 15:12 G - Generational Approach To Life Families are falling apart all around us. The divorce rate is at an all time high. The birth rate has plummeted to an all time low. Children lack discipline and self control, and are falling away from the faith at rates of up to 85%! At Legacy Community Church, we believe the answer is simple, return to the Deuteronomy model of living and teaching our children God's Word. Deuteronomy 6, Psalms 78:5-8 A - Accountable to Others We must accept our responsibilities to grow in Christ, to attend regularly, to seek to use our gifts in the church, to support the church financially, to be accountable in doctrine and conduct, and to submit to the leadership and the scriptural authority of the elders. Ephesians 4:11-13, Colossians 3:5-25, Matthew 8:15, Romans 12 C - Covenental Community We desire a true "covennantal community" as seen after Pentecost. In the covenantal approach, if one family is having a baby - then we are all having a baby. When someone is sick, we take care of each other. When you are on vacation, we are watching your house. When a tree falls in your yard, the men come to cut it up - because it is "our" yard. Acts 2:42-46, I John 3:17 Y - Yoked Together One of the keys to Legacy is church unity. By unity of the body, I mean that we are likeminded, unified in both our faith in God, love for each other, and in our approach to living the Christian life together. | We are looking for like-minded families and individuals who desire to serve Christ in a body of believers, where success is measured in how families are strengthened to better serve Christ, not in the size of the membership or in the amount of giving.
